A 75-year-old woman was killed and several other people were injured after a Bolero pickup was repeatedly driven into a house during a violent land dispute in Jamvasu village, in Maharashtra’s Akola district, according to local reports and video from the scene.
The woman was identified as Sonabai Makharam Jadhav. The incident occurred in Barshitakli taluka on Friday, September 11, and footage circulating on social media shows the pickup accelerating into the residence multiple times while people nearby shout and throw objects in an apparent attempt to stop the vehicle.
Video shows pickup repeatedly striking the house
The recording, shared by the X account Hate Detector, shows a Bolero-style cargo vehicle maneuvering in front of the property and repeatedly striking the structure. Parts of the wall and frontage appear heavily damaged as the vehicle continues moving near the house.
Free Press Journal reported that preliminary information indicated the vehicle struck the house four to five times. The outlet said two to three other people were seriously injured and were taken for medical treatment.

Police detain suspects as investigation continues
Loksatta reported that the dispute between the two sides had existed before Friday’s violence and that a police case connected with the land conflict had already been recorded. After the attack, police moved into the village, brought the situation under control and took three suspects into custody for questioning.
Earlier reporting from Free Press Journal said police had detained one suspect and seized the pickup allegedly used in the attack. The difference appears to reflect the investigation developing during the day, with the later Loksatta report describing three people in custody.
Police are investigating the exact sequence of events, the role of those involved and the circumstances that escalated the property dispute into a fatal attack. The identities and medical conditions of the other injured people were not fully established in the reports reviewed by Deep Gore Tube.
Fatal escalation of a land dispute
The footage is notable not simply because a vehicle hits a building, but because the impacts appear to continue while villagers are already reacting to the danger. Local reporting describes residents throwing stones and bricks toward the pickup while trying to stop the assault.
Sonabai Jadhav was reported to have been inside the house when the structure was struck. She died as a result of the incident, while the other injured people were transported for treatment.
As of the latest reporting reviewed, the Barshitakli police investigation remained active. Deep Gore Tube will treat further claims about individual responsibility, formal charges or motive as provisional until they are confirmed by police or court records.
