A woman riding a scooter in Rishikesh, India, was struck by a bull that suddenly broke away from a roadside fight and ran across the roadway, sending her scooter toward a parked cab in a collision captured on video.

The footage, shared by the Instagram account ANSHUL_UK14 RISHIKESH and later reported by India Today and TV9 Hindi, shows two bulls with their horns locked near the road as they push against each other. What begins as an animal confrontation becomes a traffic hazard within seconds when one of the bulls abruptly leaves the fight and crosses into the path of the scooter.

A roadside fight turns into a sudden collision

In the recording, the two bulls can be seen pushing and shoving while their horns remain locked. A man then approaches and appears to try to move the animals away from the roadway. One bull suddenly turns, accelerates across the road and enters the path of a woman approaching on a scooter.

The animal collides with the scooter from the side. The impact knocks the rider off her intended line and sends the scooter toward a cab parked on the opposite side of the road. The sequence unfolds quickly, giving the woman little visible opportunity to avoid the animal once it starts running across the roadway.

No verified medical update has been reported

The video prompted concern online about the rider’s condition, but the available reporting reviewed by Deep Gore Tube does not provide a verified medical update. India Today reported the collision and the reactions it generated, while a later TV9 Hindi report described the same sequence without confirming the extent of any injuries.

Because no reliable medical information has been published in the sources reviewed, it would be premature to describe the woman as seriously injured or to claim that she escaped without injury. The footage establishes the collision itself, but not its medical outcome.

Stray cattle have already been a road-safety concern around Rishikesh

The incident comes against a broader local debate over stray and unattended animals on roads in and around Rishikesh. In August, Hindustan reported complaints from residents about attacks and public-safety problems involving stray cattle and other animals in the municipal area.

Days before this video was reported, Dehradun District Magistrate Ashish Chauhan directed local authorities to survey stray animals and move cattle found roaming on roads to designated facilities, according to local reporting. Rishikesh Municipal Corporation also lists the relocation of stray animals to designated areas among the duties of its sanitation department.

Those measures reflect a concern that extends beyond inconvenience. Animals entering or remaining on active roads can create sudden hazards for two-wheelers in particular, where riders have little physical protection and limited time to react when a large animal changes direction without warning.

In this case, the recording shows exactly how quickly that risk can materialize: a confrontation between two animals at the roadside becomes a vehicle collision in only a few seconds. What remains unknown is the woman’s condition after the impact.
