The woman murdered in Bucaramanga (Santander) was identified as Estefany Pulido, a Venezuelan citizen. She lay on the ground as the man who stabbed him tried repeatedly to escape.
“The information allowed the patrol to react, arresting José Aníbal Melgarejo, the perpetrator of the crime who attacked the victim, in the act,” said a police spokesperson.
The 60-year-old man’s hands and clothes were covered in the victim’s blood after the knife attack, as evidenced in video shared by authorities.
The incident occurred at 5pm, Tuesday, January 2, in a residence on Carrera 18 and Calle 24, in the Alarcón neighborhood, in Bucaramanga.
