Shocking footage shows a Florida sheriff shooting and killing an American airman seconds after entering his apartment.

A decorated US Air Force airman was shot dead by police after allegedly breaking into the wrong home.
Roger Fortson, 23, died in a Florida hospital after being shot six times.
Fortson was on FaceTime when he heard a knock on the door. When Fortson went to the door and asked who was there, no one answered.
There was another aggressive knock on the door, according to the woman on the other end of the FaceTime call.
Fortson then looked through the peephole and saw no one.
As a precaution, he recovered his legally owned firearm.
After he returned to the living room, the police broke down the front door and shot him 6 times in “self-defense.”
Police allegedly responded to a “disturbance” and knocked on the wrong door. The woman on the other end of the call said Fortson wasn’t bothering anyone.
“He just got back from the mission after fighting for us. With everything that is happening in our country, he is fighting for us and he came back to be murdered, murdered in such a violent way”, said the mother.
“He was my gift, and they took away my gift. And they didn’t give it to me. God gave me this gift… and they took away my gift.”
