A woman was killed after falling from a motorcycle and being run over by a trailer truck in Nganjuk Regency, East Java, Indonesia.

The crash happened on Friday, April 24, 2026, at about 00:4:10 p.m. on Jalan Raya Nganjuk-Surabaya, in Dusun Kalimati, Desa Kedungrejo, Kecamatan Tanjunganom.

The victim was identified only by the initials SS. Police said she was from Desa Rowomarto, Kecamatan Patianrowo, Nganjuk Regency.

SS was riding as a passenger on a Honda BeAT with license plate AG 6001 VAY. The motorcycle was being driven by CD.

CCTV footage shows a red trailer truck moving along the road with motorcycles close to its left side. The video also shows another motorcycle emerging from an alley near the crash area. Moments later, motorcycles beside the truck fall, and one person ends up under the trailer truck and is run over.

The footage directly confirms the fall and the person being run over by the trailer truck. It does not establish the full view of each driver, the exact speed of the vehicles, or the complete sequence before the recording begins.

Police said the crash involved the Honda BeAT carrying CD and SS, another Honda BeAT with license plate AG 4031 VBL driven by RO, and a Hino trailer truck with license plate AB 8022 IT driven by a man identified only as H, from Diwek, Jombang.

According to the police chronology cited in regional reports, CD’s motorcycle was traveling from west to east while carrying SS. Police said the motorcycle failed to keep a safe distance and hit the rear of the Honda BeAT driven by RO.

After the impact between the motorcycles, CD’s motorcycle fell to the right. SS fell onto the road and was run over by the left rear wheel of the Hino trailer truck traveling in the same direction.

Police said SS suffered severe injuries, including open wounds to the left arm, both thighs and the head. She was declared dead at the scene, according to the police account reported after the crash.

CD survived with pain in the right waist area and was conscious after the crash. The available reports did not publicly confirm serious injuries to RO.

The trailer truck driver was identified only by the initial H. Regional reporting said the driver was taken to the traffic accident enforcement unit for questioning.

Police handled the crash scene and continued examining the cause of the accident. Officers also urged road users to keep concentration and maintain a safe distance while driving.
