A business owner was shot dead outside his store in Gandu, a city in southern Bahia, Brazil, on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Security camera footage recorded the gunman arriving by motorcycle, walking directly toward the victim, opening fire at close range and leaving the scene on the same motorcycle.

The victim was identified as Êxodo Santos de Jesus, a local businessman who owned the store where the shooting occurred. Local reporting described the business as a car audio shop located at Praça do Povo in central Gandu. Some early accounts listed his age as 36, while later reports identified him as 37.
