Two women were found dead in separate sectors of Escuintla, Guatemala, on May 4, 2026, in cases now being examined by the Public Ministry and security forces.
The first body was discovered in an area known as Cascada 3, along the route toward El Salto in the departmental capital of Escuintla.
The victim was identified as Yulissa Lemus, a resident of colonia Madrid. Her body was found beside the roadway, close to the edge of a polluted stream.
Images from the scene show the woman lying near the roadside above the water channel. The available visual material documents where the body was found but does not establish how she died or how she reached the location.
According to information released about the discovery, Lemus was barefoot and partially clothed. She was wearing only blue pants when she was found.
