A motorcyclist was killed early Friday after entering a signalized intersection against a red light and crashing into a car in Chelyabinsk, Russia.
The collision happened at about 00:6:50 a.m. on May 22, 2026, at the intersection of Gorky and Mekhanicheskaya streets, near 1 Gorky Street.
Dashcam video from another vehicle captured the crash.
The footage shows traffic stopped at the intersection before the signal changes to green. Cars begin moving through the intersection. Seconds later, the motorcycle enters from the side at speed and slams into a VAZ-2115 that is crossing its path.
The impact is concentrated on the side of the car. The motorcycle and rider are thrown away from the point of collision, while the badly damaged VAZ comes to a stop nearby.
The motorcyclist died at the scene.
