Mosul, 2007.

A car was parked in Al-Tahrir neighborhood near the Diab Al-Iraqi Mosque, with the body of Jasem Al-Kuwiani inside, who had been killed by what was then known as Al-Qaeda. Colonel Ziyad Qasim, commander of the Fourth Nineveh Emergency Battalion, arrived to inspect the body. As he arrived, the car exploded, and the terrorists were overjoyed, thinking they had killed him. However, the colonel survived despite being severely wounded and later recovered. He was eventually killed during a raid on a terrorist hideout in Nineveh.
