An accident between a train and a school bus left two girls dead late this Thursday morning (9), in Jandaia do Sul , northern Paraná. The information was confirmed by the Fire Department.

According to the corporation, the bus belongs to the Association of Parents and Friends of the Disabled (Apae) and was transporting students from the institution.

Captain Wallacy Xavier de Souza de Araújo, from the Fire Department, reported that the children died on the spot. The ages have not yet been released.

Experts from the Institute of Criminalistics were at the scene to analyze the circumstances of the accident and the speed performed by the vehicles.

In a statement to the Civil Police, the driver reported that he did not notice the train approaching.
