Teen girl stabbed to death by ex-partner while holding baby in Paraná, Brazil.

A 17-year-old girl was stabbed to death by her ex-partner while walking with her baby daughter in her arms in Vitorino, a municipality in southwestern Paraná, Brazil.
The victim was identified as Vitória Bernardi. The attacker was identified by authorities as Ezequiel Lopes, 36. According to the Military Police, he was found dead after the crime.
The attack happened on the morning of Sunday, April 26, 2026. Police said officers were called at about 00:10:30 a.m. When they arrived, Vitória was already dead.
Security camera footage records the attack. The video shows Vitória walking along a sidewalk while holding her baby. A white car stops near the curb. Ezequiel gets out of the vehicle, approaches her and places an arm around her shoulders.
The footage then shows him stabbing Vitória. She falls to the ground with the child as the attack continues. The video shows him leaving the scene afterward.
Even after being stabbed, Vitória is seen getting up, picking up the baby and walking out of the camera’s range. Residents later reported that she managed to walk about 100 meters with the child before collapsing.
The baby was not injured. Police said the child was not Ezequiel’s daughter.
According to a Military Police lieutenant who spoke about the case, Vitória and Ezequiel had lived together for about two months and had separated shortly before the killing. The officer said Ezequiel did not accept the end of the relationship.
After the stabbing, Ezequiel fled by car. Police later found him dead in a wooded area. The Military Police said he took his own life after the crime.
The Civil Police opened an inquiry to investigate the circumstances of the killing. Investigators said that, although the video points to the action of one person, they would also examine whether anyone else had any involvement.
There was no confirmed information in the available reports about where Vitória had been going before the attack. Authorities also had not publicly confirmed the role of other people who appear in the footage.
The confirmed sequence is that Vitória was walking with her baby, Ezequiel arrived in a white car, approached her on the sidewalk, stabbed her repeatedly, fled the scene and was later found dead. The child survived without injuries.
