Three people were executed inside a car on Rua General Rondon, downtown Nova Iguaçu, in Baixada Fluminense, this Wednesday morning (26).
The case happened in the region of Santa Eugênia. According to residents, at least ten shots were fired. Among the victims is military police officer Wagner Rodrigues Marques, brother of a militia member known as Van Damme, who controls internet, water and cable TV services in the region. The other victim is a woman, who has not yet been identified.
According to the Military Police, men from the 20th BPM (Mesquita) were called to a homicide that took place in the Santa Eugênia neighborhood, in Nova Iguaçu, in Baixada Fluminense.
According to the command of the unit, at the scene the military found three victims of firearm shots already dead. Among them was the military police officer who was off duty at the time of the attack.
Residents who witnessed the scene reported that more than ten shots were fired. Two bodies were found outside the vehicle. The woman was in the backseat.
The region has been dominated by territorial disputes between traffickers and militiamen.
The area was isolated to preserve the expertise work of the Homicide Police Station (DHBF) of the Baixada Fluminense. Civil Police have already reported that they are investigating the authorship of the shots to elucidate the case.
