Body builder breaks his neck and dies while doing heavy weight squats.

A freak gym accident in Bali claimed the life of a popular bodybuilder and personal trainer working in Denpasar, Bali, 33-year-old Justyn Vicky.
Vicky, originally from East Java, lived for years in Bali, where he was known as a bodybuilder, nutritional consultant and personal trainer.
Information gathered from social media accounts indicates that Vicky was working out at The Paradise Gym at Jalan Danau Tamblingan, Sanur Bali, on the morning of Saturday, 15th July 2023, where she attempted to squat a weight in excess of 180 kg.
Supported only by a single “spotter” behind, Vicky failed to complete the lift and fell forward, causing the weight bar to cascade from her shoulders and break her neck and head forward.
A video shows the moment the fatal accident occurred. Justyn Vickry died of a broken neck. It is not clear whether the fatal incident was a matter of simple misadventure or whether there is some degree of guilt on the part of the singular “watcher” who failed to rescue Vicky from her position behind a man weighing 180 kg.
Suffering severe neck and spinal injuries, Justyn Vicky was rushed to a local hospital for emergency surgery, only to die a short time later.
